It worked and now the sunroof seems to be tightly closed - presumably no more leaking. However..and I hate when there is a 'however'..now the one touch mechanism doesnt work. Plus I can't get it to stop in a given position i.e. closed. I have to re-do the instructions provided above. How do I break this cycle and get back to one-touch..and where it will stop in a desired position? Greatly appreciate the 'next clue'! Tried this fix. I decided to go down the mesh insert route instead as I thought it might look a little bit "who's he kidding", plus the mesh-kit looks cool and understated whilst giving the car a more modern and sporty look, and it's only £60! On Hugh's point about the Adamesh ones looking duller, I mentioned this to the chap at Adamesh and he said that shiny chrome meshes tend to corrode and rust quite quickly compared to the polished stainless steel ones they supply.
